author
Rose O’Keefe’s latest book Rochester’s South Wedge Revisited expands on her 2005 book with all kinds of online information not available formerly. Rose grew up in the suburbs of New York City. After college, she moved to Rochester, fell in love with the Finger Lakes area and became interested in the family life of abolitionists Frederick and Anna Douglass. Her last book, All Rights for All: Working for Justice, looked at the world of 19th-century abolitionists. Lately, Rose writes mostly nonfiction history and neighborhood news. She is revisiting Southeast Rochester (2006) over the summer.
