Keely Hutton is the author of critically acclaimed young adult and middle grade novels, including Soldier Boy, Secret Soldiers, and Don’t Look Back. Soldier Boy received a 2018 Children’s Africana Book Award and was named a 2017 top ten first novel and 2018 top ten historical novel for youth by Booklist. Secret Soldiers was a 2020 Bank Street Best Book of the Year and JLG Gold Standard selection. Don’t Look Back was a JLG Gold Standard selection, 2023 Bank Street Best Book of the Year, and Crystal Kite Award winner. Keely lives in Fairport with her husband and dog, Maximus.
